MotherProof Reviews the 2009 Infiniti QX56

Qx56

The 2009 Infiniti QX56 is a big, bad, unapologetic luxury SUV, and MotherProof reviewer Lori Hindman certainly had no complaints about the pleasure of driving this behemoth ride. Then she had to take a look at the tab for gas. With a thirsty 5.6-liter V-8 under the hood, the QX56 guzzles fuel with ferocity. Does this, coupled with a pretty steep price tag, put the QX56 out of reach? Or can it redeem itself with luxurious trappings and day-to-day utility? Read the full review to get some answers.

Gas just hit $1.91 at one station not far from me. With prices like that I suspect we will be seeing SUV-mania again.

but can they afford the darn thing? how is their credit score? so unless this is a lawyer that wants to have a car to look good for their clients, few people are going to buy a luxury item even if gas were to be free.

I think people will continue to buy large vehicles until engineers can overcome the issue of small vehicles safetly compromises....you just cant yet get past weight and size in a crash.....same reason fighters(boxers/mma etc) have weight classes.....
