Toyota Offering Zero-Percent Financing on 11 Models

Toyota

It’s a tough time for everyone in the auto business, but especially for Toyota. The Japanese automaker’s decline in sales has outpaced the market this year, and the company is already predicting a large drop-off from its 2007 sales figures. To stop the sales slide, Toyota is offering zero-percent financing on a variety of models.

Until Nov. 3, qualified customers can get zero-percent financing on 36- to 60-month loans on the Matrix, Corolla, Camry, RAV4, Highlander, FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra. The deals are notable because they go beyond the usual offerings of light trucks and SUVs and cross into Toyota’s traditionally popular models, including the Corolla and Camry.

I dont think this is going to be too effective. first of all the 0% is largely for 36 or 48 months and secondly EVERYONE is already offering incentives. Local Toyota dealers are already advertising low interest rates and thousands off MSRP so I dont see how this new promotion represents a drastic change.

The 0% worked for the wife and I. We were going to wait until January but decided to jump on the 0% for 36 months offer for her Highlander. We usually pay cash but 0% for three years works just as well. My wife loves her new car.

Geez, even on the newly redesigned Corolla?

Proof of a pathetic redesign job.

J,

Proof of a weak economy.

You’re both wrong. This is proof that Toyota is just as American as GM, Ford and Chrysler. Now we just have to wait for the triple combo of huge cash back, 0% financing and Employee Discount. How sweet is that?

Stock Values:
Toyota $73.38
GM $8.48
Ford $3.69

Did someone say something about Toyota being just like GM and Ford? Think again.

Does anybody know how good of a deal on a new car you can get now? It used to be you accept 3% above invoice costs. Shouldn't dealers be well below invoice now? Appreciate any advice.

lussy

It is cool. How much is it cost?

The only reason why toyota is doing better than GM, Chrysler and Ford is because they were'nt stupid enough to let unions kill their company. Toyota will get through this, I hope the big three don't get a bailout and have to go bankrupt. I hope they can get rid of their unions and be able to make profit again.

Toyota has the cash to support the zero percent deals, but you have to watch their window stickers carefully. I glanced at the window sticker of a 2009 Yaris hatchback recently and it topped $17,000. Look for a combination of discounts and low interest financing to get the best deal.
