Azentek Rearview Mirror Does it All

After disappearing under a mountain of backorders, Azentek promises that its briefly-available SmartMirror will hit "major retailers" before the end of the year.

As an $800 package, the SmartMirror includes a GPS system that projects onto a 4-inch screen on the mirror's side, hands-free Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in speaker, text-to-speech functionality, and a card slot for a 2GB expansion. Last but not least, the mirror can switch to a monitor for — you guessed it — a backup camera.

Back in August, the SmartMirror sold out quickly, leaving eager buyers stranded on waiting lists. Now that it proposes to return during harder economic times, we wonder how many shoppers will think it's worth the $800 price tag.
