Hey Guys,
Thanks for the video. We have pretty much that exact car with that feature. I read about it when we were shopping for it, granted it was not high on the reasons to select the Impala but I thought it was a really cool feature. I watched/read some about it before we got the car on the onstar website but nice to a see a real life demo of it at work. Seems like a great idea. I am left wondering how hard it is for a thief to disable onstar in a car? Break off the little antenna on the back? Some easy wire to pull? Thanks!

Why dont they implement this for high speed chases? All the GM products on the road.....that could save lots of lives.

I think eventually all cars will have this type of feature to eliminate high speed pursuits. Unfortunately its the old cars that keep getting stolen.
As far as the dude in the video wearing his mom's glasses and in need of a haircut... It is police officer to you, not "cops, cops, cops". And as far as "big brother", deactivate it. This will eventually save lives by ending pursuits. OnStar is proven effective software.
