I found the 4 cylinder cloth version of the Malibu very disappointing. The interior dash was cheap and the cloth left a lot to be desired. I was impressed with the handling and sound levels - but that's it. I ended up buying an Accord for less than $1500 more and it's a way better car. Even the old Camry outsells the Malibu by almost 4 to 1. Unfortunately for GM the Malibu is a sales failure.
