Closed Chevy Dealer Causing Major Headaches

Wiltedballoons

The normally sarcastic, quick-witted folks at Jalopnik have delivered a sobering account of what has happened to the failed Bill Heard Chevy group. Jalopnik associate editor Matt Hardigree traveled to Heard’s Houston dealership and found many customers trying to get answers at the vacant business. The only employees on site were security guards hired by GM.

After we reported on the closing of Heard’s 13 dealerships last week, we came across many stories of the dealership’s past troubles long before the current credit crisis. Georgia’s Office of Consumer Affairs has filed 16 actions against Heard’s group in the past 15 years. Among the gripes were deceptive advertising and even sending out fake recall notices to draw in shoppers.

Check out Jalopnik’s full story for more.
