The number of miles Americans are driving has taken a dive thanks to this summer's high gas prices, but that doesn't mean families across the country are scrapping the age-old road-trip vacation altogether. On the other hand, it may mean these road-tripping families would like a vehicle that can help them travel in style, comfort and a little more efficiency. With this in mind, Cars.com took a look at three four-cylinder models — Hyundai Sonata family sedan, new Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda5 small van — to see which works best for fuel economy-minded long-distance drivers. See the results in each category below.
