Cars.com Reviews 2009 Lincoln MKS
Lincoln hasn't exactly overwhelmed car shoppers lately, with products that have failed to match competitors from Lexus and Infiniti, but Cars.com reviewer David Thomas sees promise in the all-new 2009 Lincoln MKS. Distinctive and a good value compared to the competition, the MKS seems to have found a niche that it’s already exploiting; it was Lincoln’s best-selling model in July. Thomas points to an expansive interior, improved technology and its relative value as the primary factors in the MKS' early success. Click on the link to read his full review.

I spotted one, my first one, in busy traffic. It stood out(even though it was black) and looked terrific. I have a fivehundred and this car looks 150 times better. It doesn't even look like its the same platform- it looked smaller and really sporty. I really wasn't sold on it until seeing one. Pictures do this car no justice folks.

The control stack is a bit plain looking, but those gauges are just horrible looking. Seems like for has a tough time with gauges lately, but these are just the worst, the reviewer is correct that you find better in economy cars. They really need to change these, and fast.
I don't think they are the worst that Ford has used, but I agree, they need to be upgraded ASAP. Lincoln used electroluminescent gauges in the last Navi- but that was before Ford decided that is would be more efficient to make them in house. They need to go ahead and splurge on the Lincoln brand, they have been neglected for long enough.
All in all, the gauges would not be a deal breaker for me.

I'm not a big Ford fan, but overall I think they did well. But have to agree the gauges look bad, especially the weird bin-like thing sticking out under the temp. and fuel gauges. Makes them look like something cobbled together from old Mustang II parts. And that the tach and speedo have no symmetry also makes for a cheap look.
The guy in the video couldn't be more stiff. I felt bad for him as he looked pretty uncomfortable.
Micha,
Yeah, it was a 100 degrees out so I was pretty uncomfortable alright. The a/c seats inside helped a little.
