GM Extends 72-Hour Sale to July 7

Gmsale

When GM first announced its 72-Hour Sale, offering 0% financing for 72 months, we kind of chuckled that it was actually a five-day long “72-hour” sale. Well, the name is even less apt now, because it’s been extended another seven days.

The same terms apply to the same models, and we’ve reposted which models get the deal below. Also, the $7,000 cash back offer on the Hummer H3 we mentioned last week has also been extended to July 7.

0% APR for up to 72 months on 2008 vehicles including:

  • Chevrolet: Suburban, Avalanche, Equinox, Colorado, Tahoe, Silverado, TrailBlazer, Uplander, Impala, HHR
  • Buick: Lucerne, Lacrosse
  • Pontiac: Torrent, Solstice, G6, Grand Prix
  • GMC: Yukon and Yukon XL, Sierra, Envoy and Canyon
  • Cadillac: All Escalade models, SRX, STS, DTS
  • HUMMER: H2 and H3
  • Saab: 9-7X, 9-3 Convertible
  • Saturn: Sky, Aura and Vue

If GM really wanted to sell cars, they would offer better incentives.

Being in the market for a new vehicle, I was looking at an HHR or Equinox. The current offer is not that enticing in this sales climate.

Automakers have raised their MSRP's to cover so-called increased production costs.

If GM wants to sell to me, something along the lines of 0% for 72 months PLUS at least a 3k rebate would get me to sign on the dotted line.

Don't worry GM I can wait for awhile.

I rather get 0% than some incentive that will reduce the resale value.

It seems like this 0% for 72 months saved General Motors sales last month. They were down the least amount of the major manufacturers for June.

Juan,

The resale values are already poor. Added incentives can't hurt them anymore.

0% is good for those that need a car now, GM needs to do something for those that want a car, but are not desperate.

Both of our cars we bought are GM. a '02 and a '05.

Do something to make me want to buy now.

If a new car or truck is sitting on the franchise dealers lot, GM has already sold their unit...it is the dealers that are paying floor plan costs. I would buy a new GM unit in July with the right combination of incentives.

Just to give you an update,
I went to check out an HHR.
The Chevy Dealers don't want to deal.
Meanwhile the car is still sitting on the lot.
They say they get no support from GM.

Still waiting

0% FOR 72 MONTHS EXTENDED AGAIN

Just saw a new banner that says 0% for 72 months if you trade in a 99 or newer GM.

Dont know if there is anything additional yet.

I have been a gm owner for over 55 years ,but without 0 interest and incentives,I am leaning towards another car company, with the best offers. I CAN WAIT ON NEW OPTIONS ON MILEAGE CARS..I HOPE GM REALLY LOOKS AT ALL THE CARS ON LOTS,YOU COULD MOVE THOSE WITH A BETTER PLAN.
