New Chevy Camaro to be Revealed Monday

CamaroVert

We’re not quite sure why GM chose Monday to debut the all-new Camaro sports car. There seem to be a lot of high-profile places they could have dropped the veil, like the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit next month. But nope — it’s having an internet-only reveal on Monday at 4 p.m. EDT. Update: GM is letting everyone in on the act. You can watch the presentation yourself here at that time. We will still bring you all the relevant specs, press images etc. but for the event, everyone seems to be invited.

Of course you can tune in right here, as we’ll update the blog during the entire presentation so you can see the final, production-ready vehicle in all its glory. If you’re behind the times you can read up on the new Camaro in our archives here. The picture here is of a test version of the Camaro convertible that GM published on its blog. We’re not sure if the final convertible will be announced Monday, but the coupe certainly will be. All of this for a car that doesn’t even go on sale for another six months.

pretty sweet-looking car. hope reliability would at least be average ...

considering the last one was best in class the final year, i don't doubt it

If you're interested in watching the reveal for yourself, you can watch it live at 4 pm EST at http://camaro.gmnext.com

Doug,
Probably should explain better in press materials that the GMNext reveal was for public and not press consumption. Might have made a more interesting blog/story.
