Jeep's New Gas-Plus-Cash-Back Deals

2008jeepgc

Jeep is the third Chrysler brand to get a boost in incentives following this week’s sales numbers fiasco. In a way, Jeep’s deals pale in comparison to Dodge’s and Chrysler’s – Jeep only has six models with cash back, and two of them, the more popular Compass and Patriot, get a mere $750 – but a few offers are substantial.

One interesting deal is on the Grand Cherokee diesel (a solid alternative for those looking to reduce gas consumption). Customers can get $3,500 cash back, or $1,000 cash back plus the Let’s Refuel America gas deal. Considering diesel is included in the $2.99 gas plan — and it’s at a whopping $4.77 nationally — the savings are considerable. A full list of deals is below.

Model: Cash Back or Cash Back Plus $2.99 Gas Plan

  • Patriot: $750 or Let’s Refuel America
  • Compass: $750 or Let’s Refuel America
  • Liberty: $1,500 or Let’s Refuel America
  • Grand Cherokee Diesel: $3,500 or $1,000 plus Let’s Refuel America
  • Grand Cherokee: $5,500 or $1,000 plus Let’s Refuel America
  • Commander: $5,500 or $1,000 plus Let’s Refuel America

It’s not overwhelming, but if you’re looking for a Grand Cherokee or Commander, now is the time to buy. Be sure to search for regional deals on Jeep’s site, and check out Cars.com’s automated incentives page for updated offers throughout the month.

Having owned three JGC (98, 02, 06) I will never again purchase a Chrysler product unless they completely scrap their dealer network. I had some issues with all of the vehicles but the frustrating part was none of my three local dealers would own up to doing warranty work. I finally found a honest dealer 40 miles away, but they recently dumped their Jeep franchise in favor of Subaru. To add insult to injury my neighbor had Honda fix his heater for free when it died almost two years and 15,000 miles out of warranty. The dealer told him they too thought it was unacceptable that a part would fail when it's had limited use. I wish my Jeep dealers had the same attitude.

I feel ya, Steve. :) But I wanted to comment on Jeep's move with cash backs... I thik you can sell anything these days if you give some kind of gas related incentive. Even credit cards dig this thing and offer gas cach back credit cards. (This is exactly what I was looking for, when stumbled upon this article.) For those who may be interested in that, here's a link to one of such offer pages: http://www.creditcardmix.com/credit-card-category/cash-back-gas-credit-cards

Also keep in mind that there are a number of other sites where one can apply for gas cards at.
