Ford Revives Employee Pricing on F-Series
The employee pricing promotions of a few summers ago are back as domestic automakers’ sales plunged again in May. Most of the poor sales were for trucks and SUVs, because of high gas prices and that’s one reason Ford is focusing on its F-Series for a new employee pricing deal. A redesigned 2009 F-Series will also go on sale this fall, which has likely already lowered demand for the outgoing 2008s. The incentives include the F-150, F-250 and F-350. It does not include Harley Davidson or chassis cab models. No other Ford vehicles are included, yet many still have large incentives.
The sale began yesterday and other cash back incentives can be combined with the employee pricing. Currently the F-150 has $2,500 in cash back nationally, although that number can vary (and may be higher) by region. Ford has not yet released what the employee pricing actually is. We will update this post when they do and break down the final prices.

Let the fire sale begins! Several yrs ago when this happened, EVERY domestic nameplate swore that they would never do it again, and how bad a mistake that was...obviously, lesson NOT learned. ;)
BTW, last time this happened, gas prices were hovering around $2.50 - $3.00 (regular) or sthg like that per gallon. Wonder if the current over $4 prices will put a huge dent despite the fire sales this time (it's passed $4.50 for premium and $4.30 for regular in the W. Coast...so $5 is in sight now!)
I can't help but be smitten with the fact that the roosters are coming home to roost. GM, Ford, and Chrysler have screwed countless numbers of customers over the years and now they are getting paid back ten fold. It seamed like just yesterday Bob Lutz was saying, "The Cobalt will set a new standard for small cars..."
I can't think of two bigger liars then Lutz and Nardelli, but at least Ford brought in an outsider to fix things. I just wish they would go the extra step and fire J Mays as he's the most overrated designer in the entire industry.
Happily motoring along in my American built Accord with 172,000 trouble-free miles...
