Gas Saving Moment of the Day: Car Pooling

Now that “Edge Cities” are a way of life — those communities that popped up hours away from major urban hubs because of people’s willingness to drive further and further to work — car pooling is one of those 1970s concepts that we’re surprised hasn’t reemerged in our $4 a gallon gas world. 

For the foreseeable future — or until gas prices stabilize — we’ll ask our readers their thoughts on how they’re keeping fuel costs in check. So what do you think? Have you thought of car pooling as a way to conserve fuel costs? And if you already car pool what are the pros and cons?

if you put 2 co-workers in your car, i'm sure you can drive with as much zeal as you want and still use up less resourses per person. and you can keep some "fun" factor into driving. although don't have your passengers puke in your car either ...
