Ford Incentives Up, Include Specialty Models

2008fordbullitt

April has begun, and Ford has updated its incentives for the rest of the month. There are some very interesting deals to be had. We’ll break down all the models soon enough, but the most interesting tidbit of information for car enthusiasts is that both the Ford Mustang Bullitt and the upcoming Ford F-150 Chip Foose Edition are getting cash back just like their plain-jane brethren.

The 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt is already on sale, and the Bullitt package costs an additional $3,310 on top of the cost of a regular Ford Mustang GT. Rebates range from $1,000 to $1,500, with an additional $1,000 offered in some regions if you go with Ford Credit to purchase the vehicle.*

Depending on where you live, that means you could pay just a $810 premium to have the special edition, which adds horsepower and suspension tweaks.

The 2008 Ford F-150 Chip Foose Edition isn’t on sale yet, but the roughly $55,000 sport truck will come to market over the next few months with between $3,000 and $3,500 cash back (plus that potential $1,000 in financing cash) on the intricately detailed hood.

Other rebates are more pedestrian, but still noteworthy:

  • 2008 Ford Edge
The popular crossover is selling well, but Ford is still offering $2,000 cash back on it.
  • 2008 Ford Escape
This compact SUV also has $2,000, as well as $500 in financing cash, depending on location. The hybrid version only has financing offers available. No cash back.
  • 2008 Ford Expedition
The three-row SUV is seeing anywhere between $2,500 and $4,000 off, as well as $1,000 in financing cash, depending on location.
  • 2008 Ford Explorer
$3,000 plus $1,000 in financing cash is seen across the board for the Explorer, as large SUV sales continue to decline.
  • 2008 Ford Focus
Redesigned for 2008, the Focus is seeing the least amount of cash back, ranging from $500 to $2,000 depending on location.
  • 2008 Ford Fusion
We haven’t heard much on the Fusion lately, but cash back ranges from $1,500 to $3,000.
  • 2008 Ford F-150
Like the Foose, other editions of the popular pickup have cash back ranging from $3,000 to $3,500, plus $1,000 in financing cash.
  • 2008 Ford Mustang
Even Ford’s sports car gets cash back on the V-6, GT and Bullitt, but not the GT500. Rebates range from $1,000 to $1,500, and $1,000 in financing cash is offered in select areas.
  • 2008 Ford Taurus
The large sedan is seeing between $2,000 and $3,000 cash back plus $1,000 in financing cash.
  • 2008 Ford Taurus X
The Taurus might be redesigned as early as 2009, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the Taurus X went the way of the dodo. Cash back of $2,000 to $3,000 might help sell a few more, as will $1,000 in financing cash.

*All rebates vary depending on location. Some rebates run through June 2 while others end April 30. Be sure to check rebate details thoroughly with the manufacturer.

F150'er

Does anyone believe the F150 truck rebates and incentives will get better anytime soon ?
I'm sorta kicking tires presently, but want to get the best rebate I can. Thanks.
