Recall Alert: 2007-08 Dodge Avenger, Chrysler Sebring
Chrysler is recalling its two new midsize sedans, the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger, due to defective electrical connectors. Nearly 181,000 2007- and 2008-model-year cars are involved in the recall, but the company says there have been no accidents involving the faulty equipment.
The bad connectors are part of the tire pressure monitoring system and can corrode and short out, leading to various electrical problems, including stalled engines, dead batteries and failing cruise control systems.
Owners will receive a notice from Chrysler regarding the problem, and dealers will fix it.

This is second hand information. I have a friend that has a 2009 Avenger that while ideling the engine will rev real high without any one in the car. Sometimes it will do this several times then stall. At first it never hapened when the car was taken to the dealer but finally it did it while hooked up to the dealers diognostice equipment but didn't show anything. The dealer doesn't know what's up.
My car wouldn't come out of park. I have a 2008 dodge avenger. I had gotten a letter a while back in regards to a recall for something don't remember what. But when I took my car too the dealership and asked they said there was a recall about that problem. I haven't been able to find that recall though online anywhere.
