Best of the year? LOL

Broq

the original xb is soo beyond ugly that a half-way good looking one is getting more credit than it should. not that it isn't the best, but it makes people forgte that eye sore.

Is the "resytled" Scion xB competing with the PT Cruiser or Chevy HHR? Beyond that niche, it is still butt ugly!

I know small cars are important these days, and this is a nice one (for those that like it), but this isn't even the nicest small car. This beat out:
*a new Accord, a sales heavy weight, bread and butter for a whole company, and a midsize benchmark.
*the CTS and C-class are both extremly important for their companies and extremely well designed.
*Full sized HYBRID Suv's!!!!

Typing this is making me angry, so I'm going to stop, lol.

You laugh at this car until you seat in it. It has fa-a-a-ar more comfort then any car that cost $25K. But this one is only $16K+.
And if you're tall, you not going to scratch the ceiling either.
Fuel economy could be better but it has Camry's engine which makes +3 hwy on Camry.
I've been inside HHR and PT Cruiser - you can't compare. xB is a winner hands down.

The Honda Accord was "Best Family Sedan," the Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country "Best Minivan," Chrysler Sebring "Best Convertible," Mercedes-Benz C-Class "Best Luxury Sedan," Cadillac CTS "Best Sport Sedan" and Volkswagen R32 "Best Performance Car."

i am not saying is a good or bs car, but anything that makes civilization of that monstrosity is a good thing. had it been from chrysler it would be take over the pontaic aztek as the ugliest car ever.

let's not forget that the aztek was a half-way decend car in the inside. but the outside...

Scion Xb? Bahahahahhahahaaaa...no wonder I stopped my subscription to MT rag sheet.

I still laugh at the Ford claimed super duties trucks also but the interior is still a disappointment that may change for the next gen.

This is a joke.. too ugly and overpriced.

I ended up with an '08 XB after looking at the Chevy HHR, Toyota Matrix and a few others. I'm not a car lover and will not defend a piece of junk to save face and justify my purchase but I have to say this is a great car. Lots of interior room for my 6'4" frame and the sequential shifting auto is pretty fun around town. I think Toyota needs to put a 5-speed auto in this car instead of the 4-speed - but that is my only complaint. The polarizing styling makes for good conversation. The squares don't seem to like the square.
