Camaro Front End Spotted

Camarotake2

GM’s Fastlane blog has run what it says is a picture “captured” by a reader at a test track, supposedly in response to the company asking fans to take shots of test models when they see them on the road. Great idea, but this shot looks like it came from a company insider. Regardless, we get a little more info on what the front end might look like when the car is finally introduced. We’re guessing that will happen this week.

Even writers read. Great way to "make" buzz. Sounds very believable. But why white and a cloudy shot at that. I really feel inspired to go out and buy a white sports car. I mean the definition on the hood is completely lost as well as all detail in the black pit of a grill.

Well white with red stripes will certainly bring out Camaro fans!

I think they chose white for a reason - BECAUSE it hides all the detail. They don't want to ruin the official reveal by giving people a perfect shot in a great colour, revealing ALL there is to see.

White flattens the details and means that there will still be some surprise and delight at Detroit (or wherever they reveal it)

I still think it looks GREAT.

It does look more like the Challenger I saw the other night.

this looks NOTHING like a challenger
wasn't that the al bundy car anyway?

Chevy got this right, it's NOT retro, just inspired, so it will actually have some residual value in 5 years unlike mustang or challenger.

This is not the production car, this is just a design test.

Jack

You can see the Challenger DNA. It's so obvious that you'd have to be ignorant to deny it. At least GM is more likely to put a quality interior into it unlike Dodge. Either way it's still a GM product no matter how you cut it.

I must be stupid because I dont see it..

J

The easiest to spot similarity is at the grille.

ok so the grille is a V shape in the camaro, where as the challenger has a flat square...hrm...circle circle square square?

I can't wait for both of these to go on the market and then maybe people will realise there is no real simularities...
