2008 Lexus IS F Priced in Mid-50s

Isf

Lexus dives into the high-performance waters with its new sports sedan, the IS F. It’s the fastest model Lexus has ever produced, and it can be yours for $56,000. This, of course, does not include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $765.

With an eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift automatic transmission, we’re inclined to believe the IS F can make 0 to 60 in an impressive 4.6 seconds, as Lexus claims it does. This should put it hot on the tail of competitors like the BMW M3 and Audi RS 4. The IS F is slated to hit dealerships in February.

LOVE IT . . .actually, just make mine an IS350. The nose on this is really ugly, and those wheels look like they came off of an Infiniti. Maybe a GS would have been a better candidate for the first "F" car, then the whole front end wouldn't look like the afterthought that it is- unless they are targeting the rich kids with all the aftermarket stuff on their civics. I love this from the A pillar back. Oh,

make mine a CTS-V

I win.

I'm very intrigued by this car and can't wait to get my hands on one. My 03 M5 is in the shop all the time. Although the dealer service has been stellar, with only 39k on her I shouldn't require monthly dealer visits. As far as the CTS-V goes, it's a woman's car. My wife has an 05 that has been ok. While Cadillac is to be admired for their effort, they are playing out of their league.

Where is the whale tale and decals to match the cheezy wheel flare vents. That stuff makes it go REALLY fast.

I'll be in the back seat watching "The Fast and Furious 10."

I saw my pizza delivery driver in a civic with the body kit.

Last Toyota Motor Company car that turned my head was a Supra. I know they only made $13,000,000,000 in profits last year and could never afford to develop a halo sports car for their mainstream brand again.

hitman1970,
I would pick the MR2 turbo anyday.

Cadillac is playing out of their league??

And lexus is? HA lexus has never been in this league, and cadillac belongs more to this game than this rice burner.

IS owner

As an IS owner, This one will be one to at least look at.

I've also owned 2 BMW's.

I've never had a problem with the Lexus... where the Bimmers I had them in the shop quite often.

Aside from that, when you do need an oil change or new brake pads.. you are always greeted with extraordinary service.

BMW can't match that.

If you can handle taking a corner at 65mph instead of 75 in the Bimmer, then I think the Lexus will do you just fine.

And the Cadillac? I won't even look at it.

Mercedes AMG? Yeh, maybe.

There was so much comment on the ISF before it was out, esdpecially from BMW-guys.
Now it's here, it seems that this car is better and faster too (www.isf-blog.com/2007/12/faster-then-a-9.html).
That's pretty cool.
