Weekend Athlete Video: 2008 Honda Element

Athletes come in many shapes and sizes, and some are just better suited for a particular sport. It’s the same with cars — there are jobs for which some are simply the best. I recently got to spend some time with the Honda Element and rediscovered why it scores a perfect 10 for weekend athletes.

Element has has been very reliable and you can do a lot with it's small size. Too bad that it's sales have slid so much over the last 2 years that Honda is looking at replacing it. Heard rumors of a U.S. version of the Crossroad.

The only drawback to the Element to me, was only 4 seats. I think that was a negative selling point. otherwise, a nice vehicle!

This is the only vehicle on the market without horrible gas mileage that has optional AWD to get to trailheads and enough room for two to sleep inside at those trailheads.

The only real things that could be improved is ride quality and road noise (I know, it's a box on wheels, wind noise isn't going to be good), the option of seating for five, and gas mileage.

I'd happily take a more raked windshield and nose for better mileage and wind noise.

I thought I saw an article that Honda was going to do a major restyle of the Element but can't recall where .
Can't find info on the Crossroad .My 04 Elemnet has pretty much met all my needs EXCEPT towing capacity . I miss my F-150 for that job .
