Lion Chases Cars in Ohio

Lioncarchaser

Yes, you read that right. We’re talking a lion, like Simba, escaped from his owner’s pen and started chasing cars, just like any neighborhood dog, on a major highway last week. We’re not sure how his owner has been allowed to keep a full-size lion as a pet, but the story was just too remarkable not to share. You can check out a video of the TV news report here with these great lines from the 911 call of an oddly composed motorist:

911: Pike County 911

Caller:
I’m on 23 and there’s a lion on the road.

911:
A lion?

Caller:
It’s a lion! It almost hit my car.

Anyone think that maybe this could have been a publicity stunt by Peugeot? ;)

"Brumfield said raising a lion takes a lot of work he does not recommend them as pets." No, really?

Brumfield raises lions as an escape from depression.
...umm.......................

It's stories like this that made we wish we could post pictures in our comments.

Escape from depression? I thought keeping a pet goes the other way.
