Through Ian's Lens: 2008 Infiniti G37S

The new Infiniti G37S is a sport coupe that is as elegant as it is fast. The lines on this car are so sleek and speed-invoking that Infiniti has used a painted rendering of the car as a secondary logo. From grille to tail, the G37S body is designed to catch your eye; Infiniti has created a provocative body shape here. The over-extended, elongated headlight cases in the front and rear create visual bookends for the streamlined body, while twin tailpipes and a small spoiler add an aggressive stance. From the large, rounded grille and oversized badge in front all the way through the leather and metal of the interior to the flat, abrupt tail, the G37S visually embodies a balance of class and performance. now about the car- it looks like an accord coupe that has a wheelbase that has been shrunk to that of a TT's

Thanks for the praise guys. I cut my teeth photographing bands and live music and to be honest with you, I'm pretty new to automobiles. Working out of Chicago allows for some diverse locations which keeps it fun and interesting.

A. I couldn't agree more regarding the talent behind the lens... these pics are beautiful, as always, and many a car marketing department could benefit from Ian's lens!

B. Agreed on the comment about the Accord styling... I think that while the car is indeed beautiful and surely fun to drive, Infiniti could use a little more of their sibling Nissan's 350Z styling... it seems like in trying to make the G37S more "luxurious" and subtle... they've lost a lot of the riskier, more daring sporty and unique design of the 350Z... I think the G37S would be much nicer if it was truly a more grown-up and elegant 350Z.

I don't think the Infiniti resembles the Accord, I think the Honda resembles the G37. (actually that's a lie, I think they look nothing alike.)

Ian's pictures amaze, but sadly the Silver of this car looks very flat and dull. If it MUST be silver/grey (and it doesn't HAVE to be) I'd prefer a deeper grey/gunmetal form of silver. But I'd MUCH rather have a candy apple Red, a slightly violet Burgandy, or a deep Blue.

This means that if you trade a non-Infiniti model on a G37, you get an additional $500 from Infiniti.
