Yawn...The Escape is long in the tooth and to make it over without changing the drivetrain says this puppy won't be around much longer. Why didn't they throw in the new Ford horizontal grille like the other new Ford products? Besides that, they're pimping Mazda to sell the Tribute and it doesn't fit Mazda's new designs either. Mazda is getting y fine with the CX-7.

Nice car, good price and with manual transmission, plenty of space. I like it and the Mazda is even more beautiful.

Oh where is the 6 speed automatic Ford?

We just bought a 2008 Escape. Nice car, but it's really dumb that Ford only offers manual trans with bare-bones trim. I would have definitely purchased more options if they were available with manual transmission.

It's funny, the dealer said every time they get a manual in, it sells within two days. So wake up Ford! There are still standard shift lovers out there you could be selling to. Seems like 1 out of 200 dealer cars are manual trans.

I think the same as Carl, I love manual cars but it is annoying that is so difficult to find one with control cruise.
I currently drive a ZX2, no frills, at all, and I love it... but it would be nice to have control cruise in long highway trips.
