If you’ve ever passed a Dodge Nitro in traffic, you probably took note of it — its distinctive, box-like design is rather hard to miss. As Mother Proof explained this week, that box-on-wheels exterior is also rather telling: Apparently, driving this car is like being packed in a box for overnight shipping, minus those fun packing peanuts. Check out the full review, along with some important tips about watching out for your children in the driveway and some practical ones about how to spend less on gas without buying a hybrid. DL

the post on saving money on gas recommended driving under 2000 RPM while accelerating. can we have a poll to see whether the road-rage prone in your cities would allow that and NOT chew your rear bumper off?

here in Boston, most of the cars i've driven (Passat, Grand Prix, etc) requires around 3000 RPM starts at green lights or else i'd get angry gestures, honking, etc.
