New Toyota Corolla and Matrix Debut Today

Later today — lunchtime for most of the country, brunchtime for the West Coast — Toyota will drop the veil on the redesigned 2009 Corolla and 2009 Matrix at the SEMA specialty show in Las Vegas. We’ll be posting all the information we can gather as well as photos as quickly as possible. Make sure to check back in.

Wonder how much did they change back in the drawing board this time.

They better offer a better package than the other compacts, because they are losing a bit on the quality now.

Interesting that Toyota is bringing out refreshed (new) cars while Chrysler is attempting to figure out which ones to sunset.
My daughter needs a car so I'm interested in what the new Corolla is like.

Well, the pix are all in the little Related media thing on the press release info. The new Corolla's front looks like the Camry's and the interior is pretty nice, but I don't see those Optitron gauges on the Corolla.

The Matrix looks good, but looks smaller and the rear window is like much smaller too. Pontiac Vibe looks much better.

I don't understand why everyone is beating up Toyota quality. Even after "losing a bit on quality" they are still some of the best cars on the road.

Guys I can only work so fast. Toyota did not release any info early. Links are updated.
