Hyundai Elantra Touring Gets SEMA Treatment

Elantra500

Hyundai hasn’t officially unveiled the U.S. Spec Elantra Touring hatchback yet. Instead, it sent us images of a “concept” car it will show at the SEMA aftermarket show next week. The Elantra Touring Beach Cruiser has some questionable color combinations going on, but if your eyes can handle it, they’ll be able to see the actual consumer product that will arrive at dealerships in fall 2008. We also get a look at the interior and dash in the photos below.

Hyundai hasn’t said which auto show the production model will debut at, but it will arrive at one of the major shows over the next six months.

Anyone else think riceroni?

That is hideous.

Two haters right off the bat... tsk tsk.

I actually think it looks good for a small car. The exterior paint will thankfully never hit the street, but the interior could stick.

Oh no. We don't like riceroni? What ever will Tom L do?? Bash us for not liking what he likes?

The interior colors are to match that ugly paint job. It won't stay thankfully.

The interesting thing will be price. the Elantra beats all the other sedans on value for the features it has packed into it. The hatchback market is growing but none are super affordable. If the Elantra Touring beats -- lets say -- the new Matrix on price by a few thousand it could win over a lot of people.

Riceroni? Have you seen the Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin?

You have got to be kidding me. This car is bad ass!!

Too all the haters of the product out there, keep looking over your shoulder...there the 6th biggest car company in the world now!!!Are you looking over your shoulder chrysler???
