Cars.com Reviews the 2008 Nissan Versa Sedan

Nissanversasedan

If you’re watching your pennies, a base Nissan Versa sedan offers a lot of interior room for the money. We tested the more expensive SL version of the sedan, and the size of the car really surprised us. It’s almost as big as a Honda Civic or Mazda3. However, there were some hang-ups — mainly the uncomfortable seats. Check out the full review and accompanying video if you’re intrigued by Nissan’s low-cost four-door.

I thought Nissan made good cars?

Nissan does make good vehicles. I've recently reviewed and liked the Rogue, Altima Coupe and 350Z. I just think the Versa sedan (not hatch) has a few flaws, the worst being the uncomfortable seats. You can't expect much at an entry price of $13K but my tester was closer to $16K and then things get a bit iffy.

I just think for around 15k they could have made the thing look better and be more comfy. There is way too much competition in this segment, and it will just grow.

I test drove the 5 door version a few months ago and thought it was a very nice entry level vehicle. For 16k with cruise, auto, air, MP3 outlet, and steering wheel mounted controls. I thought the cabin was very roomy, plenty of rear leg room in the back seat and the seats were comparable to that of the sentra or the hyundai elantra

a top-level, well equipped versa can cross over into the Sentra's price range, which is MUCH nicer on the inside.

Problem with entry level cars, part of their competition is used midsize cars.

Versa Hatchback may have lot more space than Versa Sedan. People should think of this before buying a Sedan.
