Honda Prices New 2008 Odyssey

2008hondaodyssey270

Last month, Honda told us about changes to its new 2008 Odyssey minivan, but we didn’t know the prices until today, which also happens to be the day the new family-hauler goes on sale.

Prices start at $25,860 for the Odyssey LX. That’s just barely up from the 2007’s $25,645 price. Neither includes a $635 destination charge. What do you get for the extra money? There aren’t a bevy of new standard features, but the exterior has a slightly new look, and the interior also got a once-over, with improved fabric for the LX and EX. An auxiliary jack for MP3 players is also standard.

Otherwise, new features for 2008 are included on the upper-level EX trim, which starts at $28,960, and the fully loaded Odyssey Touring, which starts at $40,610. That comes with navigation, voice recognition, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, a DVD rear entertainment system and run-flat tires.

Too expensive for a car which doesn't have anything different or innovative.

At least the transmissions will be better now that in the late nineties/early 2000's model.

Yeah I was surprised how many owners of the previous generation had transmission that all together failed. The good thing for those that died before 100K was Honda replaced them under warranty. Thought bad transmissions were more a Chrysler thing but at least Honda stood behind some of their customers.

Zerf, that's the Honda difference. They stand behind what they build and actually act quickly to resolve problems instead of passing them on until parts run out. Nice below the belt import jab Lopez but, ineffective.

Best minivan on the market - no matter what the price - period.

z - You're way too excited about the minivan market, man. As, I I blog on the "cars" site on this Saturday moning, I ponder on point of doing it. I think it's because I like to get reactions out of other bloggers. So, I assume you wanted the same, z. Perhaps that makes me a pompous ass. But, not bitter, like Amuro Ray when it comes to V8s and cars that are bigger than a Chevy Aveo. Or, Troy in FL., reading too far into a comment about transmissions.

Blog on Amuro - GO GREEN! Same to you Troy at the beach - except for the green thing. And, carry on z; I hope we see another minivan article. I love this country!

Talking about axing cars, when the Ridgeline is going to be axed? It is an embarrassment to the Honda company.
