Mini Clubman Release Date, More Photos

Miniclubman55

Most people wouldn’t consider Mini owners to be practical. The car is such a style statement, after all. But a large number of Mini owners looked at their purchase and blurted out “this car needs more room.” Mini name be darned, the company execs said, we’ve done it before and we can do it again, and they introduced the Clubman version of the Mini Cooper. Now, to help those practical people plan their purchase — say that three times fast— we’ve learned of the tentative on sale date in the U.S. That’s right; drum roll, please…

The Clubman will hit shores in Februaruy — tentatively — and prices will be announced closer to that date. If you’re absolutely jonesing for more Mini Clubman info, you can check out our friends at MotoringFile.com. They know all the minutia about the Clubman. You can also check out a bunch of new photos of the Clubman below.

Wow a mini that can fit an average American. Good Job. Now they just need an SUV.

Opps. I shouldn't have said that.

They are killing the Mini image.
Why? I am disappointed.

There was a Mini Clubman before, there's no reason not to have one now.

Dave,
I did not know there was a Mini Clubman before.
In this case it makes sense to bring the Clubman to life.

This really isn't related to the increased size/storage, but check out that image of the vehicle interior. Saddle brown with creame piping on the seats and piano black/flat nickel appliqué on the console. How cool is THAT. It reminds me of the interior from the Maserati Quattroporte.

I need one of these like asap!! I love the brown interior and everything about this car! I was going to look into buying a car within the rest of the year.. but i can wait a little bit longer for something as awesome and different as this!

Cool car, but I need something practical so I will stick with a cheap reliable Focus or a Corolla, if they ever made a new model before the next decade.

Wasn't there a Mini Pickup as well?

I really like this..a lot. Any word on whether or not they'll bring a diesel over from Europe in the future??? It would be great to have one of these that got 60+ mpg!

I think this car is a mistake. BMW/Mini had a great thing going with the original, and now they bring out THIS? Mistake!

Hideous!

I am very disappointed. A MINI is NEVER meant to be practical. It's also not meant to carry passager other than yourself and perhaps one significant other.

I hope the discontinue this very soon. And talks about making a MINI Colorado (SUV). Unthinkable!
