Cars.com Reviews New 2008 Chrysler Town & Country

Townandcountry270

We all know Chrysler defined the minivan segment in the 1980s, but ever since then the role of minivans as family-haulers has been taken over by other vehicle types — large SUVs in the 1990s and full-size crossovers in the new millennium. For 2008, Chrysler is putting its foot back into the ring with a redesigned Town & Country, which Kelsey Mays got to test in two different trim levels and with all the high-tech goodies on board, like Sirius Satellite TV. Last picture in the review.

Wow. Just wow.

That headrest is lifted nearly out of the seat.

Make the chrysler look bad again complaining about interior quality.

I rememeber the dodge avenger review where they showed a picture of a gap between the plastic but forgot to show that the gap is there because it is part of the door for the cooler.

Anon,
yes, but the driver could also be 5,2" and have trouble with it down a notch or two.

I didn't see the gap mention in the Avenger post. It was pointing out quality of the three materials, not the gap.

The swivel and go seats with the center table is cool. I'm surprised other manufacturers havn't done the stow and go seating. Honda was the first to have the rear seat fold in the floor and everyone copied that.

Anon, believe it or not, those are the normal elevated positions for the head restraints. If you're six feet tall like me, you need them that high to provide adequate protection. The seatbacks are quite low, and the headrests are intended to go that high. Pulling them out of their sockets would have been another step beyond what you see.

I'm not a van guy but the last generation was way the hell prettier than this iteration. It looks like they were trying to look like the Honda.

Not surprising, you guys refused to be impressed by the features and focused on complaining about as much as possible. Nice minivan though...

Cody,
Please refer to our top tailgating features where we highlight the new minivans to no end for their features.

Our reviews highlight all aspects of the vehicles however.

I stand corrected. You highlighted the flip back seats and swivel-n-go seats/table. I guess that truly defines "to no end".
