Cars.com Video: 2008 Honda Accord Sedan

Kelsey Mays brings us a thorough walkthrough of the all-new 2008 Honda Accord we’ve been tackling all week. It’s really interesting to see just how big the Accord has become, outside and in. We also found that the Accord is a bit better-looking when in motion.

Seven articles.

I want to see seven articles on the Malibu.

The most people arn't going to pick between a CTS and a Accord. They just arn't in the same league.

Post another car on the same level for comparison and stop shoving this down consumers necks.

Like any outlet, we're giving consumers what they want. Right now they want as much info on the Accord as we can give them. So that's what we're going to do. The Malibu has gotten plenty of coverage here for the place it is in the production cycle. When we have access to one closer to its on sale date it will get more coverage. The Accord went on sale this week. That's why you're seeing news now.

Honestly Kyle, seven articles on the Malibu would generate even more outrage. Very few people actually care about that car unless they are given one at the rental counter.

Thanks for all the Honda Accord coverage. The only thing left for me to do is go drive one myself!

Hi Dave:

I think it would be better if there one story with all the info so someone who is researching can see it in one spot instead of three separate stories showing up on the main page.

myx,
thanks for the positive comment!

LM,
I see where you're coming from. Unfortunately blogs work best in short bursts instead of long stories. It also helps with our workload so we can get something out quickly when it's ready.

I also try really hard to make each post (even if written by someone else) have its own angle. Some blogs called the $600 increase in Accord prices a "huge spike" etc. that's how our post came about. Most model year price increases are about $200 and that's with no changes! For example.

I'm also putting Related links in each post so they can see the other coverage, and you can always click the "Accord" tag and get all the info in one page.

Seeing all the coverage on the Accord this week and finally seeing the video with Kelsey Mays in it, I must say it’s actually a great alternative to the Camry. The Accord is more square-ish, more angular, and definitely will appeal to a ton of buyers. It’s an Accord unlike any other and for someone looking to purchase a sedan that’s not too overly large, but bigger than a midsize and yet still returns decent fuel economy, the Accord will be on their short list. Maybe that’s why traffic for info on the Accord is so high?

I guess i am the only one that saw that huge disgusting pannel gap along the center console. looks like just another hard plastic mobile from honda.

Did I hear he said the parking brake handle is like the Civic? Or he meant the Accord?

Anyway, the big gap in the center console is the glove box, which I was also shocked to see how wide that gap is.

I don't understand why there isn't 60/40 rear seats?
My 97 Civic has that, and it's been wonderful at times, especially when I want to carry a passenger or extra stuff in the back while keeping bulkier items in the trunk with the 60/40 split...
