Nissan Prices 2008 Pathfinder
The new 2008 Nissan Pathfinder goes on sale today with a starting price of $25,700 for a V-6 powered 4x2 model, a $100 increase over the 2007 model. At the high end, a 310 horsepower V-8 4x4 is $38,700. This is the first time the Pathfinder has been offered with a V-8, and despite higher gas prices, many shoppers in this segment want the added capability, especially for towing. THATS AWESOME THAT NISSAN GOT THE NERVE TO ADD A HUGE V8 INTO THE PATHFINDERS LINEUP. THE BASE PRICE INCREASE ISN'T TOO MUCH WITH THE LIKES OF A UPDATED INTERIOR THAT NEEDED INTERIOR TAILORING. THE V8 CAN NOW BE APART OF THE PACT WHERE EVERY OTHER COMPANY HAS A V8 AS AN OPTION FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE 310 HP RATING SHOULD LEAD IT TO THE HEAD OF THE COMPETION BUT NOT EXCEEDS THOSE OF THE JEEP SRT8/10. THE MAJOR CONCERN IS GAS PRICES AND NOT A SINGLE SIGN OF HIGHER EFFICIENCY, IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
