Cars.com Reviews the 2007 Lincoln MKX, 2007 Infiniti G35

The other day, I was sharing a ride with Mike Hanley when we both noticed a new Lincoln MKX on the highway in front of us. We hurried to catch up to the “creme brulee” SUV. From the rear it really is a looker, with one of the most distinctive designs around. It made me sad that I didn’t get any seat time when it was in the Cars.com fleet. Luckily, Joe Wiesenfelder gives us a thorough look at Lincoln’s latest.

Joe’s been a busy guy, as he also posted his review of the new 2007 Infiniti G35 last week. His take on the updated luxury sedan is right in line with my thoughts in the recent Urban DINK post, after I spent some time with the G35x in snowy Chicago.

i drove the mkx. for a $43k vehicle, i found the steering very floaty with terrible on-center feel, and the engine noisy under hard acceleration.

Lincoln falls short with this vehicle. It offers nothing to set itself apart from the rest of the field. Simple things like not having a gear selector on the dash, and the obstructive liftgate hardware are a big turn off.

The rear end on the SUV looks great, but the front end.......yuck! It looks like a '63 Lincoln combined with a school bus. For my money I'll buy something that has real style without the "ugly appeal".

The MKX is so F*CKING sweet. The interior is so F*CKING luxury I would love to have one.The exterior is F*CKING hot too, better than that lexus crap.

I just bought a 2007 Lincoln MKX, and it is HOT!!!!!!! Its' beautiful styling and good looks, accent the superb drive that it gives. I've been trading-in Lincolns every two years, for the past 20, and it is really an exciting vehicle to own.
