Honda Recalling 165,000 Cars and Trucks

05odyssey

As part of a larger global recall, Honda is recalling about 165,000 cars and trucks in the U.S. from the 2005 – 06 model years due to potential engine defects. The problem stems from sealer material that can leak onto a coil wire inside the fuel pump, causing the wire to snap. That would lead to the cars stalling or failing to start. The company has received multiple complaints from customers, but there have been no injuries or crashes.

Vehicles involved include 2005 Honda Accord coupes, sedans and hybrids, Odyssey minivans and 2006 Ridgeline pickups, as well as 2005 Acura RL, TL and TSX sedans. The recall is scheduled for early April. Owners can call Honda at 800-999-1009 for more information.

It it was GM or Ford this recall would be all over the news. But if it is Honda or Toyota nobody cares.

that's right..everyone is criticizing FORD and GM.....look at HONDA a GLOBAL RECALL...so much for reliability...no matter what the make is foreign or domestic...cars are always going to have problems recalls and so on....

After reading the lame poor research Forbes article a couple of weeks ago, I did some research to reveal to Dan the New York Times knockoff writer, that Honda has some issues with multi recalls.

I went back to that database and selected a truck and car for each manufacture and found that the Honda Civic had 55-TSB for 2005 and 6-safety recalls. It stand nexts to the Cobalt as the worse car to purchase.

Now, we can expand it further with the latest recall.

Oh come on. As soon as Honda or Toyota announce a recall it's all over the news in some 'End of the World as we Know it' articles on how PERFECT companies suddenly have flaws. It happens every single time.

The difference is this...when Honda or Toyota finds a problem, they announce it and fix it right away. They issue the recall. I don't know how many times Ford or GM will deny there is a problem thereby exascerbating the issue in the news (Explorer anyone?).

They also are also always negative, as in 'we can't do that', 'it's too expensive', or 'the customer doesn't want that'. Their failures are their own fault, not Toyota's or Honda's or BMW's.

LM You are one of japanes can do no wrong.I have yet to see this recall on the news or in the paper. So you simpathetic moron. Read and truley look at the facts. Before you post your idiotic coments. Alls we are saying is that the AMERICAN companies are still triing to pull out of the 70's & 80's. Where they where alot better Key word WHERE. We have past them in SOME catagories. But not all. There thousands of good american jobs beeing lost bacause people can't get past the old american junk that we used to produce.Oh by the way that being assembled here by the foriegn companies crap . Every job they creat here we loose 2. Fact where are all the parts and floor pans fenders and so from.Overseas so they don't need as many employees to assemble or should I say make them.Well have a great day from the veteran the helped protect this great country. Lets not loose all our jobs to them. Keep doing a good job GM,FORD
