Honda Readies Racer-Inspired S2000 CR

Honda seems to know that the few folks buying its S2000 roadster are the hardest of the hard-core drivers. The agile convertible will get a race-tuned edition called the S2000 CR. It will debut at the New York Auto Show next month. We don’t know much about it yet, but Honda called it “aggressively tuned” and says it will go on sale this fall.

oh get over it...the car is old and dated! the interior is horrible, typical honda, im sorry but im not into the cheap plastic/rat fur interiors....you're just mad because you spend too much when you could have bought a better car. Move on people! I totally agree with dave's original article!

Honda and Toyota are experiencing record sales and growth due to their inferior products. Especially their top selling cars with rat fur interiors. I much rather prefer a GM Equinox with the Chinese V6.

If the S2000 looks cheap, please take a look inside the Dodge Viper, costing at least twice as much, while its interior is still plastic.

I sense sarcasm from that comment of yours, and I have to agree on it.

I think the S2000 is a great car, I don't do track days but the shifter and the way the car fits you would inspire cofidence for me.

By the way S2000's come with leather seats.

Isn't the S2000 that pink car a little girl drives in that movie?

I guess I know which movie you were referring. Remember it is a "MOVIE", so it is not realistic. Because I can clearly see the Supra(Left hand drive)going 80 mph just as fast as the GT-R going 80km/h. LMAO...

Impress your significant other by adding a honda fender flares onto that unique performance car as you create a sporty appearance.

Some of you have no clue about cars less about the S2000, this is a world class car, is not the fastest but still can smoke 95% of cars on the roads, seriuosly, shut up if you have nothing to say, cheap plastic?? jesus what in the world soem of you are smiking??

Man, some people on here are just plain dumb. The S2000 has leather seats custom made by Recaro. The shifter is more precise than most Porsche shifters. The clutch has a feeling like that of a Z06. The car's performance regularly beats that of the Z3/Z4 and Boxster in magazine reviews. People who buy a noisy 2-seater convertible with no storage space probably aren't concerned with wood dash trim, heated seats, etc. If you like cars like that, buy a G35. The S2000 owner will be sligtly less comfortable than you as he rockets past you by 3rd gear.

This 4 banger can waste the sh*t out of a American sh*t V8~ get it over with boys~ Americans are good at making fast foods, not cars.

For every critic on this post: you must have never even riden in a S2000. It's the best performance bang for buck out there. Cheap interior? Have you ever been inside a Corvette with their "Star Trek Playschool" plastic crap? And a Vette costs 20K more. S2000: 240hp out of a 2.0L, 50/50 weight distribution, RWD, 6 second power top, HID headlights, slick all digital gauges, endless praise from every automotive publishing, the list goes on. What other car does that for under $34K?
