GM Sale Continues, Includes Saturn Vue Hybrid

If you thought the Presidents Day sales all ended on Monday — you know, President’s Day — then you’re wrong. GM is extending 0% financing and $500 cash-back deals on certain vehicles until Feb. 28. The company is also including the 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line hybrid SUV in the sale.

All Saturns, including the new Aura sedan and Outlook crossover, are also included in the sale, as are most 2007 models of other GM brands, including Chevrolet, Buick and Pontiac.

Has it ever stop? Sales are the only way The Big 3 can move their mainstream products.

Drew

Right, because Toyota *never* has sales?

this is not a huge sale like over the summer with the massive cash back. Toyota unfortunately breaks up its incentives by region and fragments them so greatly they are harder to track.
I don't think this is a negative at all for GM.

Troy

Drew never has anything good to say about Toyota. What do they have to do with this thread? Absolutly nothing. The thread is about GM and it's extension of the Presidnt's Day sale.

Who could balme GM. When something's working why not keep doing it? 0% financing for 60 months and cash back are what sell their vehicles. Let's hope they learn from it.

it compares to the big three and, even unmentioned, relates to foreign automakers.

Never in my life have I seen a $8,000 rebate on a Japanese car but I have seen them on GM and Ford cars and trucks.

There's a reason GM and Ford have to offer rebates on a regular basis. They build and sell inferior products.

Drew

I've posted all of 3-4 comments on Kicking Tires, so how you can determine a pattern from that, I don't know.

You happen to be right though. I don't like Toyota. They are a blight on the automotive landscape. They make a Mayo on White sandwich look exciting.

What I do give them credit for is building semi-reliable vehicles. At this point, the domestics have caught up so much that the reliability of domestics and Asian cars is pretty much the same. In 2006, Toyota recalled more vehicles than it sold in the US for the entire year..... now THAT is "Moving Forward."

The media, and many commentators on Kicking Tires, love to import hump and domestic bash. The very first comment was a GM bash....bashing GM for having a sale... as if Toyota or Honda or Nissan never have sales. GM put the Vue hybrid on sale because there were dealers that didn't have any non-hybrid Vues left to sell. Yeah... terrible situation to be in.

This blog is to inform people of news and other items of interest to car shoppers with the occasional fun post thrown in. Shoppers will be interested in a sale of any brand and hybrids are of special note. We don't take sides. I will remove constant bashing / bickering comments when they get out of hand and have no value to the original post. They don't help anyone.

Any word on the new deals coming down the line from GM. I am looking to get into a new Outlook but the best they could offer me as a returning GM/Saturn customer was $500. On a 34,000 car, thats a joke. Not only have I been with GM for years, but I have been going to the same Saturn Dealership for years. I can go to any GM/Saturn dealer for the measly $500 GM loyalty. Where is ther love. I am going to waint for presidents day this year and go to a Saturn Dealer outside the city. Somebody told me that you can get a better deal

Bill,
GM's current rebates are through 3/3/08 and they probably won't change until then. You can get $1,500 off a 2007 Outlook (not much has changed) but I couldn't find any in inventory around Chicago. Try searching new car inventory near you via our Buy section here:

I really like this comment about GM Sale Continues, Includes Saturn Vue Hybrid because I never heard about it.

Mike

I still wish I could buy a Chevy Lumina in this sale...NOT. As GM stops making crap, rebates should be fewer in my opinion. All the junk they made in the 80s and 90s is still a memory of what these companies are now, even if they've improved. It will take a lot to change people's minds. I can't remember anyone saying how good their Ford Tempo or Plymouth Acclaim was; much less still seeing one on the road today. I still see old Hondas and Toyotas, where the engines have outlasted the body of the car.

i would love to buy it!!!
it looks like a really good car!
