Honda Recalls 45,000 Civic Hybrids

2006hondacivichybrid_1

Honda is recalling more than 45,000 Civic Hybrids built between 2005 and 2006, most of which were in the U.S. The recall is to fix defective voltage converters that could stop the cars’ engines and prevent them from restarting.

There have been no reports of accidents but the recall sounds serious in nature and owners should contact their dealer.

Again I have not seen this in the St. louis Post Dispatch. If this would be on the Ford Escape It would be on the front page above the fold.

well yeah...apparently foreign cars do no wrong...:-)

Stop being so dramatic, this isn't worst a car owner has to endure.

The recall does not sound serious. It's not like somebody could get killed or something. I own a Honda Civic Hybrid and there is nothisg wrong with it. I know a Hybrid that has more problems than my Civic Hybrid, but I'm not going to mention it.
