When Are the Hot New Models Coming?!

Newmodels_1

You’re a smart consumer. You read a bunch of car blogs, research new models on sites like Cars.com and you’re meticulously planning that next car purchase. There’s just one problem: You don’t know when the heck the cool new car you heard about last week, last month or last year is arriving at a dealership near you. This is our first attempt at keeping tabs on new or redesigned models, and when the automakers say they’ll be available for sale. Some timeframes are vague, but as we get closer to the vehicles’ release, we’ll be able to provide more specific details. If you have a car you’re interested in adding to our list, tell us in the comments.

When is the new XB coming out...?

We're not 100% sure since Toyota has been hush about the new model. It's supposed to be this spring but we're not even sure if it will debut at the NY Auto Show in April and if it does it would have to go on sale pretty close to its public debut to meet the spring timeframe Toyota suggested. We are keeping an eye on it though.

curious lopez

when do we get to see the top selling vehicle sales numbers? I can't seem to find it on the internet for 2006. Has anyone seen them yet?

usually someone like Automotive News compiles that list in early January...not sure where it is. It shouldn't be hard though, all the automakers publish their year end sales figures.

And the 2008 Honda Accord? Fall 2007, I'm guessing.

I'm waiting for the Nissan Rogue Wave, for fans of the band of the same name, and the Saturn Outlook Express, which should include some sort of in-car computer...

2008 Infiniti G35 Coupe ?

5th Generation 4Runner???

Great post!

I read somewhere that a Pilot and Highlander will be ready this fall. True?

Whats the deal on the Corolla? I read somewhere that Toyota was delaying it, but Europe already has the Auris (renamed Corolla - I think I mispelled it).

Of course Europe may be a bad guide - we recently got the Golf here (two years late)....ohhh sorry I meant Rabbit. Why they can't they call a Golf a Golf is a mystery to me. You have to be pretty old to remember Rabbit anyway.

Hey guys,
The 2008 Accord and G35 Coupe while surely coming have yet to be introduced as production cars to the public. We're keeping the list as concrete as possible right now. I would think the Accord won't be until calendar year 2008 and the G35 coupe late fall 2007 if I had to speculate.

Honda tends to do stealth intros and be very punctual. I bet the Accord will be ready in September.....this is consistent with what I have read so far.

These long lead times are begining to become a real pain. Dodge lost a sale to my mother because we waited a year to find out when the Avenger was comming out. She loved her G1 Stratus but wasn't too keen on the 2nd Gen one. So we waited, and waited and waited. Then she bought a used PT from a Lexus dealership.

I wanted to but my wife a Patriot, but we're STILL waiting for a test drive.

I'm not a die-hard mopar guy though, I'm waiting for the Altima coupe.

and waiting,

and waiting,

and waiting,,,,,,
