2007 Detroit Auto Show: Nissan Bevel Concept
The Nissan Bevel concept is weird — plain weird. It kind of looks like the large Nissan Armada, mated with a panel van and a transformer. We won’t even quote the press release because it tells of potential buyers out there that we know don’t exist. You know — the surfing, biking, single, married, old, young, dude/dudette that would be perfect for just such a vehicle.
What is interesting about the Bevel? Why are we forcing you to check it out? Well, the roof features pucks. Yep, pucks — to store cargo bins with loads of up to 250 pounds. Then there’s the flexible interior. It reminds us of origami crossed with transformers at an Ikea. It’s doubtful the Bevel will ever come to life, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Nissan eventually release a car-based crossover to replace the Armada, and some of the gadgets here could translate.

I GUESS THIS IS GOING TO BE THE NUMBER 1 UGLIEST CAR FROM NOW ON...
I'm glad to see that the Pontiac Aztek designers have found gainful employment.
Really working on asymmetrical ideas at Nissan...
IS IT JUST A COINCIDENCE THAT THE CAR IS BROWN?
only thing i like about this panel/minivan are the rims.
So cute and vintage !! I want it !
Small minds will always rebel against genius.
This car is probably about 10 years ahead of its time. I just saw it at the Detroit auto show, and it was hands down the most exciting vehicle there. The control panel in particular really seemed revolutionary.
The styling is awesome too...like something from Back to the Future II.
really? looks like an armada without windows!
OMG I want one!!
That's what the future is SUPPOSED to look like! Such clean lines. Looks like it would be at home on the moon or rolling up to a night club.
hahahhhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah....maybe its just a really expensive joke...
