2007 Detroit Auto Show: More Ford Interceptor Photos

Interceptor1_1

We're all here in the Motor City and ready to go in the morning. Ford decided that before things get started officially at Cobo Hall it would release some more photos of the Interceptor Concept. In the photos below we get to see the interior for the first time and it is distinctly retro.

sum dude

The interior kinda reminds me of the interiors from cars ive seen from the 60s n 70s, and is that a manual or auto trans stick?

Not sure about the front end design. It looks a bit strange. It doesn't fit the rest of teh car. Ford seems bent on developing strange looking cars. Check out the old ones , the Contour, the Ford 500. These cars helped Ford get in the shape they are in . No one wanted them.
I guess they haven't gotten over the Edsel. whatever the Ford car designers are doing, it is not designing cars that appeal to the human eye.
I am a Ford fan, but in the car department they have really let me down. No excitement.

I don't know. My problem with this concept is it looks half-hearted while the Lincoln MKR looks all-out. The interior looks almost as if it was lifted from a 1960s sedan without much reinterpretation.

BRING IT! (but call it the galaxie)

Great looking vehicle. I hope it performs as well as it looks. I think this is a very positive step for this American car company.
