Not So Stylish Celebrity Rides

Vincevaughn

That relatively new bastion of celebrity gossip TMZ.com has a photo gallery of what it calls “Stars and Their Crappy Cars.” Now, we won’t argue that some of these stars are in outdated (Clint Eastwood) or horribly filthy (Jared Leto) vehicles, but a few — like Jeremy Piven in his classic (and probably expensively restored) Ford Bronco and Teri Hatcher in a green VW bus — are pretty impressive if you’re a car buff. That doesn’t include Vince Vaughn, who must be playing up his often-cheesy on-screen persona in a 1990s-era Pontiac Firebird convertible. Otherwise, I’d guess someone like Colin Farrell is driving an old Ford SUV to avoid having paparazzi sites like TMZ.com pay for photos of him.

I'm a car buff and get attatched to them like pets or.....relatives....once I graduated and made it big, the cheaper outdated car I have is kept for the sentimental value. It was always there for you even when you were broke. It's a sentimental thing. I am assuming that Mr. Vaughn is the same way.

It's hard to make anybody who spends their days chasing celebrities appreciate the value of a rare, well-maintained GMC Typhoon.

is that what Clint is in? I couldn't tell without seeing the lower part of the car. that would be cooler too.

That sure looks like a Typhoon to me. If it's teal green, then I believe that it must be a '92, as I don't think that color wasn't offered in '93.

Paparazzi's who chase folks around are scum. And they'll continue this until we (read: our women folk) stop buying the rags they sell to. Or the web sites? What will we call them? The trash sites?

A WS6 Trans Am is far from crappy. They have 5.7 litre V8's and look pretty badass.
