Parking With Lasers, Home Edition

Laserparking

Like it or not, the holidays are coming. At some point in the seasonal shopping period, we all hit a brick wall when it comes to certain family members. We might even resort to checking out gimmicky stores — like The Sharper Image or Brookstone — for something nifty that inevitably will never be used past the new year. Or will it? Here’s a product from Brookstone that might actually be worth buying for yourself, if it works as advertised.

The Dual Laser Park is designed for a two-car garage and, using a laser, tells drivers when to come to a complete stop for a perfect fit in the garage. It seems like a bit of overkill, considering there are plenty of alternatives on the market, like simple “speed bumps.” Hmmm … seems Brookstone sells those too — but will they have the wow factor of opening lasers on Christmas morning?
