Detroit Concept Sketches from Jeep, Chrysler
Look, we can only do so many blog posts AND prepare for the L.A. Auto Show next week but the automakers, see, they don’t care. Case in point: We now have to blog about these two really intriguing sketches sent over from Jeep and Chrysler of concepts they’ll be debuting at the Detroit auto show in January.
The first is called the Jeep Trailhawk (above) and is a marriage of the new Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Perhaps Jeep is trying to make a modern off-roader like the Toyota FJ Cruiser. We’re not sure why they’d need such a thing, as almost every vehicle they make is quite capable off road.
The second sketch shows what the future of Chrysler sedans might look like. Called the Nassau Concept, it features much more aggressive lines than the current 300 sedan and could be the evolutionary next step of that hot-selling model.
One thing Chrysler always does, though, is play things close to the vest for Detroit and its likely they have one more wild concept to debut that no one is expecting. As it is, these two sketches certainly get the juices flowing for the big daddy of all car shows in Detroit. Now, back to getting ready for L.A.

Thats all Jeep needs....another SUV...when the ones they have already arent doing so well (new Compass anyone),and with the Patriot coming soon I see a lineup thats going to compete against itself.Jeeps that cant go off road? (Patriot,Compass FWD),"civilized" Wranglers? Inability to break from the 1985 Cherokee/Wagoneer styling? I say its time Jeep takes a long hard look at itself, and thins its ranks.
And whats with Jeep not having a pickup? Remember the Gladiator,J10/J20? The smaller sized Commanche was no full sized contender, and Ma Mopar cancelled that in favor of Dakota (which is slipping).Even HUMMER will have a pickup, its high time Jeep evolves from SUVs only to other high volume segments.
