Dana Buchman's Custom Cadillac SRX

Srx1_1

In a marketing push to get women to notice the Cadillac SRX SUV, General Motors has enlisted famed fashion designer Dana Buchman to design a vehicle for the SEMA trade show later this month. Normally, SEMA is all about flash and power, not interior elegance, and women's fashion at the show is usually of the hot pants and bikini variety. Yet, Dana Buchman's SRX features a custom interior that resembles an expensive handbag rather than a bucket seat. We’re not sure how this one-off will impact future Cadillacs, and we don’t expect to see even a limited edition hit dealers. That never stopped anyone from showing a concept car, however. Keep reading for more images.

That actually looks pretty nice, with some interesting stylistic touches. I still can't get used to the idea of a Cadillac "truck" or station wagon, though...

I agree that it looks nice and actually adds to the vehicle's style/looks. I think Caddy should go ahead with a limited edition of the SRX in this trim. It could be the fashion designer answer to Ford's "Eddie Bauer" editions, only this would obviously skewer more to the female side of the populace, although I wouldn't be surprised to see a few guys roll around in these, and as Jerry said, "not that there's anything wrong with that."

When I first read that it looked more like a handbag then it did a bucket seat, I was very concerned, but after viewing the pictures, I think it looks very nice, and if I could afford a SRX I would possibly opt for this edition if it was ever turned into production, and if there were different colors.
Yes I am a male.
