2007 Subaru Forester Sport X and Sport XT

Subaruforestersportxt

Subaru used this year’s SEMA show to debut two new Sport trims of its popular Forester SUV. We think of it as more of a wagon, but that’s not stopping Subaru from giving the boxy hauler a sleeker appearance via a new grille, larger 17-inch wheels and other slight body modifications.

The Sport X comes with the same 173-hp four-cylinder as the standard Forester, and the Sport XT comes with a turbocharged 224-hp four-cylinder that hits 60 mph in less than six seconds. We’ll update you when pricing and availability are announced.

That Sport XT would make a great stealth car. It could blow off a lot of good sports cars in the stoplight drags. Would catch a lot people off guard.

Wait til Subaru brings the Forester STi over here in the states.

I'm told by my dealer that an Sti Forester & Legacy is completely out of the question for U.S consumers. The Forester Sports is a 'Price Point' model & is as close to the SEMA version as we're going to see. He also told me that U.S CAFE regulations will not permit the production of Sti turbo legacy & forester models. This is what I've been told.

This sure is a beautiful car, especially in black the Subaru Forester is really classy :).
