Honda Finally Prices 2007 CR-V, On Sale Today

2007hondacrv_1

"Last second" must be the phrase that pays over at Honda. The company just released pricing information for its redesigned 2007 CR-V that goes on sale today. We’ve been covering the model in-depth for the past few weeks, but this one vital piece of information has been missing until now.

The base LX model with a standard five-speed automatic transmission and two-wheel drive starts at $20,600. The top of the line EX-L with navigation and four-wheel drive starts at $28,000. We’re impressed that Honda was able to keep pricing of this much-improved new model so close to the outgoing 2006 CR-V.

Honda dealerships should have the new CR-Vs on hand today throughout the U.S. Full pricing can be found below.

Four nights ago we picked-up my wife's '07 CRV EX and already we got a call from Honda asking us for feedback on the car. The impressive part was that the call came from Honda corporate and not the dealer. An especially nice touch was they Fedex a $75 gift certificate for a local restaurant along with a thank you note regarding the call. Perhaps that my wife agreed to speak again in 60 days had something to do with it. Still it was a nice surprise. She loves her CRV, but then again she's only had it for less than a week and this is her third CRV. The dealer pulled some strings and delivered hers to us a little early (at least that's what they told us) partly based on us being a repeat customer. The dealer has been fantastic as have all of the previous Honda's that we purchased. For one thing it's a huge improvement over my daughter's leased Escape. Thankfully that lease ends in five months. The Ford dealer has been very good, it's just the Escape has needed to many trips back for warranty work.

Karl,
That's some pretty good service. Let us know how your wife likes it.

No doubt the CRV will be reliable, yet I cannot stand the looks of the front grille. Com'on Honda, attempt to add some imagination into design without turning it into a nightmare.

well this just shows that the dealership will do anything for fools that will pay window sticker...for a honda...i like my pontiac torrent better, it has style, room, power and really comfortable, and my wife is thinking about getting a chevy equinox, we wouldn't dare be seen in a honda.

To the writer of the last post how do you know how much Karl paid? You don't, you're just assuming and we all know what that makes you.
Stick with the Torrent and definitely buy the Equinox, it's what you were meant to drive. LOL

Karl, you made a great choice. The new Honda CRV has a very sophisitcated, classy look. I don't know what you paid for it, but a Honda ia well worth the investment. The Honda brands have always held their resale value much better than a Ford, Chevy, or Pontiac. Honda doesn't need to offer rebates and incentives because their quality speaks for itself.

I recently bought the new Honda Element and, like Karl, received a phone call from Honda headquarters and the dealer because they wanted to insure that I was a satisfied customer. That is excellent customer concern.

I had a 2006 Ford Mustang which I owned for 5 months. This car looked great, but visiting the Ford dealer for warranty problems once or twice a week was ridiculous. The local Ford dealership treated me as though I was the problem instead of the car. They haggled over warranty coverage and were rude with absolutely no social skills for the consumer.

The Honda dealership was a totally different experience because they treated me as though I was the honored guest. The Honda Element is one of the finest built vehicles I have owned and Honda quality emits with pride from every component of the vehicle.

To the guy who purchased the Torrent; the Torrent is a rebadged Chevy Equinox. Just because GM changed the front grill doesn't make it a different vehicle. Hope you enjoy your Chevy Torrent, or is it a Pontiac Equinox...just watch your resale value plummet.

As much as I would want to buy American, I need my buck to go the farthest. That means buying Honda or Toyota. The Big 3 don't want to complete anymore unless it's the mega-big SUV's or P/U trucks. Their cars only meet the necessary requirements to be rental cars, then appear outdated after one model year and are worthless at the retail end. It amazes me the Big 3 CEO's aren't smart enough to see what eventually will be the demise of their company.

I just bought the 2007 CRV and love it! The exterior design is very classy and modern, but not to extreme. The interior is far superior to the cloth they used for the old crv models, and there is still more room in it than a Toyota Rav4. This SUV has everything going for it (just as long as you don't have a huge family). To get an all wheel drive SUV for the price Honda is asking seems fair to me. We compared and test drove numerous SUVs, but when it comes to safety, reliability, price, and looks, this CRV is the best thing out there. Of course, I think we all would want to support American car companies, but if they continue to produce products that are less superior, they won't get my business. To the guy who owns a Pontiac and is thinking of getting a Chevy equinox...I suggest you do some research on edmonds.com.

Before I purchased the 2007 CRV AWD EX, I have test drive the new RAV4 from a Toyota dealer. I have to say that the CRV drives smoother and is more stable on turns. Absolutely loved my new car. It looks a lot better in real life than it is in the photoes.

We bought a CRV earlier in the week and must say we are thrilled. I'm not yet used to the dealer service as I've already gotten a phone call asking how everything was. We let Honda know we were thrilled but did note that one of the rear floor mats had a crease in it that appeared to possibly be a manufacturing defect since it may have been stitched wrong. Honda apologized profusely and the very next morning had a representative visit with a brand new set of floor mats. On top of that they threw in a $50 gift certificate to the local mall. As my wife said, "Honey we can buy any car as long as it's a Honda." I must say we are getting used to this Honda treatment and really like it. Who says you need to spend $50,000 to get treated like royalty. We spent less than half that!
