VW Debuts Eos Highway 1 Concept

Vweos1

Over the weekend Volkswagen unveiled a stylized version of its upcoming Eos convertible called the Highway 1 Concept. Named after the famed California road, the Eos Highway 1 isn’t the normal futuristic concept car we’re used to seeing at major auto shows; this is basically the same Eos that will go on sale in October, but with a few special upgrades.

Most noticeable to the casual observer are the two-tone interior and large 20-inch wheels. The Highway 1 also sports a subtle spoiler off the trunk and a lowered suspension to improve handling. We’re guessing this “concept” is more of a marketing study to see if shoppers would actually consider any of these options on a future trim offering. Personally, we’d skip the wheels and go with the flashy interior.

David, do a google search for VW tiguan, the new small suv to debut in 2009 as an ,08.
The name isn't the best and it's a bit late to the X3 size party but it looks interesting.

Already on it Rick! I agree I think the Scirocco and the Tiguan will liven up the line at least in design. Don't get me wrong though, the regular Eos will be a big seller for them too.

have you seen the tv commercial on the air in the UK with all the oversize objects like coffee pots and wind chimes - very cool - nice track too by a band called The Dallas Guild. I found it here - http://www.blip.tv/file/49601

Those big wagon wheels look preddy cool. Not that bad... really... in a full-out extra-loud shouting sort of way. The gackish two-toned interior, however, would look a whole lot lot better if... it... were all in black.
