Stink at Parallel Parking? Buy a New Mercedes CL-Class

Clparking

The new Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is chock full of electronic gadgetry. One option that city dwellers might want to especially check out when the car arrives later this year is the Parking Assist. If you’re traveling under 25 mph, the system will judge the size of parking spaces on either side of the car and determine whether they’re big enough for the CL to fit in. If you’re going under 10 mph, a blue “P” will light up when you pass one of these acceptable spaces. Once you line the car up to park and shift into reverse, the diagram shown above pops up to guide you in. It might seem like a lot of technology for a simple task, but it may well be justified when you think of the cost of a paint job on a car that will probably start just under $100,000.
