Oops: Teen Hits Cop While Text Messaging
Parents, there’s a new common-sense rule you have to give to your eye-rolling teenagers: Don’t text message while driving! It may sound like a no-brainer, but a 17-year-old in Michigan crashed into a parked police car Sunday while he was sending a text message. The collision spun the patrol car around and hit an officer who was attending to a previous crash on the side of the road. The teen driver was OK, but the officer remains in the hospital.

What an idiot - I hope he was/ is sorry. I hope people stop texting while driving. Also they could put the phones on silent and let the answering machine get it while they are driving, too. Also tell the kids they get a dollar for every 5 minutes that they keep quiet while mommy or daddy drive.
Umm, you do not pay your kids to behave. How stupid is that. They behave, because you are a good parent. The reward is growing up to be a responsible adult, like your parents. Also, while they are still young is a good time to teach them how to be responsible drivers. Children watch how their parents drive. Speeding running red lights honking and cursing are all picked up by your children.
It was the policy of the good old gentlemen to make his chileren feel that home was the happiest place in the world; and I value this delicious home---feeling as one of the choicest gifts a parent can bestow. (Irvng Washington, Father of literature of the United States.)
