VW Cuts Price on Jetta, Announces Rabbit Sticker

After a successful month of May, Volkswagen is thinking about the future of its most popular model. The Jetta will get a lower starting price next year thanks to reduced content. This affords buyers more flexibility and a lower point of entry but something that is now standard will become a costly option. A $1,410 price drop from $18,515 to $17,105 is significant and could bring in buyers looking at competitors like the Mazda3.

The new Rabbit, formerly called the Golf, will start at $15,605 when it goes on sale later this summer and will be available as both a two- and four-door model. The current 2006 Golf starts at $16,660. All prices include destination charges.
