The Maxima 3.5 SE and SL come with the same 255-horsepower 3.5 liter V6 engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which should help with mileage. The interior has been redesigned from the gauges to the seats while the exterior features a new front grille, larger optional spoiler and new wheel designs. A keyless entry system is now standard. While the changes don’t equal a major overhaul, the addition of the CVT and a much-awaited interior revamp are enough to warrant a test drive.
